Beach Club Resort Sustainability Project
The Beach Club Resort, the newest luxury resort hotel in the Oceanside area, is pleased to invite the local community to join us on Earth Day, April 22 as we raise awareness about the environment by hosting the “Footprints Towards Sustainability Project”.
The “Footprints Towards Sustainability Project” goals are to increase awareness with our guests and community regarding our “Green Initiatives” within the resort and to promote environmental sustainability. By working with our guests and the local community we want to promote the benefits of recycling; eduction of energy consumption; and ecosystem conservation.
Join the Beach Club Resort’s “Green Team” as we kick-off Earth Day with a pledge to support environmental sustainability. Pledge your commitment to protect the ocean and wildlife by not disturbing the ecosystem; educate visitors on the ways to enjoy nature; and pledge to take green steps in your home and work space each day.
For every five pledges that are completed, a golden sand dollar replica will be made by Dave and Doraine Carlson of Twin-Key on Salt Spring Island. These sand dollars will be used to create a public display at The Beach Club to remind guests and visitors alike that the Oceanside community supports sustainability.
In appreciation for your support, everyone that signs the Footprints in the Sand Environmental Sustainability Pledge will be entered to win an Earth Day Eco Basket. The basket includes gift certificates from Adventures Kayak, Pacific Rainforest Adventure Tours Inc., Horne Lake Caves, Stonewater Spa and Pacific Prime Steak and Chop Restaurant at The Beach Club Resort.
International Earth Day is the largest environmental event in the world. This is a tremendous opportunity to join The Beach Club Resort as they create awareness around ocean life on our beaches and educate the community as to the need to leave sand dollars, shells and treasures on the beach in order to support a sustainable ecosystem.
