Shoreline Cleanup

Water is pretty important, especially when you live on an island. As such, we wanted to highlight the fact that the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is coming this month. From September 18th to the 26th, you have the chance to participate in this important (and fun) nation wide event.

You can help in two main ways. You can choose to be a Site Coordinator and organize a cleanup of an area, or you can become a Cleanup Participant. Either way you will be helping to remove over 160,000 kg of litter from our oceans and lakes.

And if you aren’t from Vancouver Island, well we have the perfect idea for you…Come visit our amazing island and while you are here join the growing trend of voluntourism by joining a shoreline cleanup for half a day! You won’t regret it!
