The Beach Club Resort Wins Above & Beyond Award at the annual Canadian Society of Association Executives ACE Awards

The Beach Club Resort, the highest rated Green Key (5 Green Keys) and Canada Select (41/2 Stars) luxury resort hotel in the Oceanside area, is the proud recipient of the Above & Beyond Award at the annual Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) Ace Awards. The Above & Beyond Award reflects The Beach Club Resort’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and the local community.
The CSAE ACE Awards stands for the “Association Cornerstone of Excellence.” These annual awards are open to both executive and business members across British Columbia. This award presented to organizations and executives that have demonstrated efforts and achievements above and beyond the normal course of business. This award recognizes a business or association in British Columbia that has demonstrated leadership and exceptional service to the community by seizing an opportunity and show how far a member of CSAE would go to exceed expectations.

The Beach Club Resort has successfully undertaken several initiatives to reduce their impact on the environment and the local area. Due to this effort, the resort was awarded a 5 Green Key Eco-Rating status and was also awarded the 2010 TAVI Award for Eco-Sustainable Tourism and the Going Green award at the 11th Annual Vancouver Island Business Awards. Over the past year, The Beach Club Resort has changed to more Eco-friendly suppliers and partnered with organizations like Clean the World Soap Recycling Program. Further, their partnership with Tork has specifically reduced their environmental impact by 55 trees, 22 thousand gallons of water, 13 thousand kilowatts of energy and 9.7 cubic yards of landfill. The Beach Club Resort supports local events such as the annual Earth Day celebration, and has introduced the Foot Prints Environmental Sustainability Pledge which educates and informs guests about ways they can participate in energy and water conservation as well as how to protect the ocean and wildlife on Parksville Beach.
